Juniper, The Ibizan Hound

There are some dogs that simply seem made for the camera—and an Ibizan Hound is definitely one of them.

Meet Juniper, a quirky, silly, and absolutely unforgettable Ibizan Hound.

I had the pleasure of photographing Juniper and her owner during a session in downtown Calgary, and it didn't take long to see just how special this girl is. Behind that elegant Ibizan Hound appearance is a wonderfully goofy personality—and a dog who clearly has a deep bond with her person.

Juniper is also an incredibly accomplished athlete. She participates in a variety of dog sports and has earned an impressive collection of titles, making her one of the most titled Ibizan Hounds around.

But what stood out most during our session wasn't all of her accomplishments. It was the relationship between Juniper and her owner. Whether she was showing off her athletic side, being her silly self, or simply hanging out with her favourite person, her personality and their connection came through in every photograph.

She was the perfect subject for a downtown Calgary dog photography session, and I absolutely loved getting to capture this quirky, talented, and very special girl.
